Director - Business @ Mercy Research

Location: Springfield, MO, St. Louis, MO or Oklahoma City, OK

Responsible for the direction and administration of business and finance aspects of the clinical studies division Mercy Research. Under the direction of the Executive Director for Mercy Research, the Director – Business will provide leadership to Mercy Research and manage the financial, data, recruitment, research coding/billing and other related back-office support teams within Mercy Research.

Director - Regulatory @ Mercy Research

Location: Springfield, MO, St. Louis, MO or Oklahoma City, OK

Responsible for providing overall administrative leadership, strategic planning, and operational management of the regulatory and compliance services provided by Mercy Research. Under the direction of the Executive Director for Research and Mercy’s Chief Compliance Officer, the Director – Regulatory will provide overall regulatory leadership to the regulatory and compliance teams, support the development, monitoring and reporting of Investigator Initiated Research, develop and maintain professional relationships with external research entities, partner with investigators within the clinical research program, develop and maintain strong alignment between physician leaders and Mercy Research, and coach Mercy investigators in regulations and proper research conduct.

Director - Product Development & Informatics @ Mercy Research

Location: Springfield, MO, St. Louis, MO or Oklahoma City, OK

Responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the product development and informatics department of Mercy Research. This department provides design, intellectual property management and commercialization services for healthcare product development including medical devices, drugs, in vitro diagnostics and information technology. Under the direction of the Executive Director for Research and Mercy’s Chief Compliance Officer, will provide expert guidance to both internal Mercy coworkers and physicians, as well as external clients and work closely with the clinical and IT staff, senior management, Research advisory board(s), and Corporate Compliance to ensure system objectives are met on an ongoing basis.

Director - Clinical Research - Oncology @ Mercy Research

Clinical Research Coordinator @ Mercy Research

Registered Nurse Licensure Required.

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a specialized research professional working with and under the direction of the clinical Principal Investigator (PI) and Mercy Research. While the Principal Investigator is primarily responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the clinical trial, the CRC supports, facilitates and coordinates the daily clinical trial activities and plays a critical role in the conduct of the study. By performing these duties, the CRC works with the PI, Mercy Research, sponsor, and institution to support and provide guidance on the administration of the compliance, financial, personnel and other related aspects of the clinical study.

Biostatician/Medical Writer @ Mercy Research

Location: Springfield, MO

This individual will play a key role in the writing of protocols in accordance with ICH-GCP, the statistical and operational functions and overall support in the development of Investigator Initiated Trials.  Will work with investigators to decide on appropriate study design and write detailed, accurate study protocols, justifications, and statistical methodology/analyses. This includes the development of randomization schedule, sample size and data reporting. This role also analyzes and interprets statistics to point out significant differences in relationships among sources of information, and prepare conclusions and forecasts based on data summaries.  Responsible for ensuring that the rights, safety, and well-being of human subjects are protected, assess the investigator’s adherence to the protocol, compliance with all applicable government regulations, including ICH/GCP, and to validate the integrity of the data collection and recording processes.  This role is expected to plan data collection, analyze and interpret numerical data from experiments, studies, surveys, and other sources, and apply statistical methodology to provide information for scientific reporting and publication.

Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment Specialist @ Mercy Research

Location: Springfield, MO

The primary function of this position is to facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of subjects into industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials conducted within the Mercy Health System. This position will gather pre-screening information from collaborating hospitals, clinics, and private office sites in order to match potential study subjects with specific active research protocols. Methods to be used to pre-screen potential research subjects include but are not limited to electronic medical record reports, review of patient hospital and/or clinic charts, review of hospital census and clinic schedule information, follow-up of physician referral and advertisement responses and review of the HIPAA compliant patient database. The patient recruiter will also screen potential subjects by obtaining necessary demographics and medical/medication history information and will determine patient eligibility via examination of protocol-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
